How To Create Man On Fire Photo Manipulation with Photoshop CS5/ CS6

Creating photo manipulation like above photo is very easy and simple to do. With Photoshop CS5 or Cs6, creating wallpapers like this is easy and very simple. All you need to know is how to use various tools, effects and filters embedded within the software. Steps in creating the Photo Manipulation:

 Download photos like lionel messi, colourful smoky backgrounds, and fire backgrounds from google images. 

·         Create a new A5 or any other document size in Photoshop. Fill the background with black colour and rotate the document into  landscape

·         Import downloaded images into photoshop. This is done by lifting the images from where they might be and dropping them on the workspace in photoshop

·         The next step is trimming of lionel messi from background of original picture. Trimming can be done with lasso tools or pen tool depending on what tool you are comfortable with. But I used the magic lasso tool to trim mine. 

·         After that, I refined it with refine edge dialogue. I then output it to a new layer at the output section of the dialogue box

      The next step is to expand the cool or smoky background to become the background of the wallpaper. Adjust the brightness and contrasts of lionel messi picture, Go to Image-Adjustments- Levels.

·         Create a new layer and paint it with orange colour with soft edge brush. Place the painted layer below the layer of lionel messi.

·         After that, blend the colour layer with the smoky background layer. Select the colour layer, go to blend mode and choose overlay. You should get something like this if your smoke background is the same as mine 

·         The next step is blending the fire with lionel messi. But before you do that, select lionel messi layer and go to image-adjustment-photo filter and add warm filter (85) orange colour to it. Increase density to about 30%.

·         Now the fun part. Select the fire layer and duplicate it 4 times. Start blending it with lionel messi. You do this by placing the fire at parts of the body where you want the fire to burn. 

·         Choose eraser tool. Select soft edge and start erasing the black background of the fires. The reason is to blend the fire with lionel messi. Becareful when you are doing this. Take your time.

·         Now duplicate layers of the fires to properly envelope messi with the fire. At this stage, you have to try till it works. Add fire to where it matters most. Untill you get something like this 

 

Now, duplicate lionel Messi layer. Select the duplicated layer and change blending mode to overlay. After that merge the two layers together as one.

·         

·         Now we create the Fire Text. This is done by first writing the word. Arial black will be a perfect font to use. Its bold and heavy. 

·         After creating above text. Import the fire picture again to photoshop. Place it on top of the text layer. After that, Control / Command Click on the text layer to create a selection like this

·         Now select the fire layer on top of the text and Control J or Command J to duplicate it. After that, delete the original fire layer and shut the eye of the Text layer. You will get something like this.

·         Now give it some contrast with levels. After that, apply the burning fire on messi to the text to create something like this. 

·         After completing the above successfully, duplicate the smoky background layer and place it on top of all the layers like this

·     Now go to blend mode and choose Overlay. This will blend the top layer with all the layers below . it will give the work a colourful touch that is fantastic. You might end up with something like this. After that, add some brightness and contrasts to the whole work to complete it.

The final step step is the addition of gradient  text behind lionel messi's Layer. After that, we are good to go.

Door-to-door selling is usually conducted in the mid afternoon, when the majority of people are at home. You can use the same procedure to reach potential clients are their various offices, place of relaxation, fun clubs, churches, etc. door to door marketing is great way to interact with clients physically. Where To Find Design Inspiration As A Graphic Designer / Animator

 Finding inspiration can sometimes be difficult for graphic designer and animator. Sometimes you find yourself in a situation where it’s so difficult to create something new, creative and beautiful for others to marvel at. These times are what I call the Stormy times. In such times, finding an inspiring place to draw inspiration from is necessary as the air we breathe.  i discovered this while working at ovatising.  So to prevent this stormy times, I joined various Graphic designing and animation social networks to help me draw inspiration from great designers and animators in the world.

Below are lists of websites where great designers and animators share their works for others to follow.  I recommend these sites for you if you really want to learn from others within your profession. The lists are as follows

I believe in Advertising is a website that displays adverts and designs from various Advertising Agencies. Works of these people are very conceptual and an inspiration for people interested in advertising, copy writing for ads etc. Every time I need to boost my conceptual abilities, I go to this website for inspiration. I recommend it greatly to every advertiser, graphic designer or conceptual photography anywhere in the world. 

·        Behance

Behance is a great website for artists to showcase their work. For the most part, it is geared more towards “art” rather than things like gig posters or branding. If that is more of what you are looking for, a quick search will give you tons of great things to help inspire your next project. I discovered a this website from a great website called “Play 4 the World”. I followed up to behance and was glad I did. I recommend it to you too.

·        Ova – Tutorials

I recommend this website to every one interested in learning more about designing, motion graphics and video editing and effects. It’s my personal website but has great works to inspire you as a designer, video editor, website template designer, motion graphic artist etc. Ova-tutorials is a small designing website but has a lot to offer to great designers in the world.

·        Pinterest

Pinterest is one of the popular image sharing websites in the world. Many have used this platform to display their works to the world. Examples include fashion designers, fine artists, photographers, industrialists, architects, etc. it is a fun place to share all the greatest works in your portfolio. As a designer, Just take a quick look at the Design category or the Poster and Illustration category and you will find a wellspring of graphic design inspiration. I love  a lot of Social networking sites but Pinterest is definitely  one of my favorite websites! I really love it.

·        Louicage Graphic Art

I love this website so much as graphic and photo manipulation artist. It’s a small site but has great works to inspire graphic designers and photo manipulation artists. It was recommended to me by a friend in College and after completing, I still go to this website whenever I need great inspiration while designing. Check it out, you will love it.  

·        DSPN (Design Inspiration)

I discovered this website from the same site I saw Behance website link on. Dspn is also a small website, but full of great graphic design inspiration! The whole website has a very classy photo gallery style (a lot like Pinterest). It is full of really awesome material and another one of my favorites!

·        Aniboom

I recommend this site to animators who want to meet great animators all over the world. Aniboom has an attractive interface and very easy to navigate. I mostly go to this website when I’m looking for something to inspire me in my animation journey. I recommend it to all animators. It’s a cool site

Animation World Network (AWN)

AWN is a platform for animators all over the world. AWN provides animation news, articles and links for animators and animation fans. The first time I visited this website, I marveled at works of animators around the world. I realized I had a lot to learn in my animation and motion graphic journey. I found a lot of mentors to inspire me in my stormy times. It’s a great website and I recommend it to every animator out there.

HOW TO BE A CREATIVE PERSON (5 Great Ways)

Creativity is the way of inventing new things to this world. At Ovatising we see Creativity as the use of one’s imagination to invent new ways of doing things. Creativity is the reason for the variety of solutions developed to solve a particular problem. Creativity adds freshness and newness to everything. With a lot of creativity, one is likely to be labelled a genius. One is assured to be honored and cherished for the rest of his life.

So can anyone be creative and invent new ways of solving problems every time? If the answer is yes, you can then be creative if you think you not. This means that, you can become a genius at your chosen career if you want to. All you need is believe and disciplined decision to learn all that you need to learn about creativity. I started enjoying my profession the day, I chose to be creative. Everyone can be that little creative child again. Just follow these great steps

·         SEE YOURSELF AS A CREATIVE PERSON: There is a saying that, you are what you think you are. Whatever you are right now are the results of your continuous thoughts, actions and beliefs over the past years. You are not that creative because you have always limited yourself and your creative mind. Creativity needs a believing heart to trigger it. If you start believing yourself and possibility of you being creative, your subconscious will help attract all the ideas you need to be creative. Belief will empower you to experiment, break the rules and trust your instincts when trying out new things. Belief is a major step to creativeness. Believe you are creative and you will be. 

·         BE A CHILD AGAIN (Be Playful): It is said that, children from the ages of 2-5 are more imaginative, creative and playful when designing or solving a problem. The reason is detachment from rules and regulations of our society. When we growing up, society teaches us what is right and wrong. We are told continuously to do this, do that, follow this, love this, hate this etc. This in turn makes us want to follow laid down rules set by others for our works to be appreciated. But to be creative, we have to be children again. We must think with no rules attached to it. We must think outside the box. Thinking outside the box means setting yourself free from the ordinary. It requires one’s willingness to think different and to act different. Children at age 2-5 play when painting or doing class exercise. We must also play, be imaginative if we want to be creative. Playing safe or following too much rules will not help you to become creative. 

·         MUST BE EXPERIMENTAL: Unwillingness to try new ways of solving problems is a sure militant against the chance of being creative. If you always stick to a particular way of doing things, it will be difficult for you to be creative. The reason is, you will be lazy and unwilling to experiment or try out new things. But if you willing to try out new ways of solving problems, you will be creative. Creativity is all about doing something new and  better

·         BLEND IDEAS FROM OTHER PROFESSIONS: You will be more creative if you study other professions ways of solving problems. It’s known in the past that, some scientific inventions were developed by studying other professions ways of doing things. Your ability to translate others style of solving problems into your profession is a sign of creativity. Find ideas from other professions and try and blend it in your profession. It will enable you to always find new ways of solving problems without suffering. This is not idea copying, it’s a blend of ideas and it’s also a sign of creative thinking. 

·         READ BOOKS ABOUT CREATIVITY: In life, reading is a key to greatness. There are many things you can learn from people ahead of you without having to experience it yourself. Creativity is one of them. There are numerous books about creativity. Get yourself a copy and learn from it. Knowledge is the key to greatness and knowledge can be found in books, audio tapes, seminars, training programs etc. So if you want to be creative, read more books about it.

Creativity is a something we can all be good at. No one was born more creative than the other but as we grow, we lose our creativity due to our detachment from the creative world. We are always in a hurry to do things so we blindly copy laid down procedures instead of trying out new things. But we have to start trying out new things if we intend to be creative. Creativity is the father of inventions. Great inventions are the results of people’s imaginations gone wild.
